Are we transitioning? I don't think so. Should we? I believe so. Will we? Not under the current reality. For a nation that has concerns about the military-industrial complex, we seem very comfortable with the educational-political complex and that system is very process oriented system. Process is all about tactics and change is all about strategy. It may be that we don't possess the mechanisms for change regardless of how needed it might be.
